Currently, our practice is seeking an Oral Surgery Assistant for our office located in Happy Valley, OR! The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of prior oral surgery background in addition to a positive and glowing personality coupled with experience working within a multi-provider practice!

Duties/Responsibilities

Clinical duties will include, but not be limited to...

  • Performing administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, charting, and filing.
  • Preparing patient charts, recording treatment plans, and updating dental records.
  • Operating X-ray and 3D scanning equipment and developing radiographs for diagnostic purposes.
  • Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocols.
  • Assisting the surgeon with all chairside procedures including operatory setup, anesthesia administration, and cleanup.
  • Preparing patients for surgery and monitoring vital signs during procedures.
  • Providing patients with information on oral health care, treatment plans, and postoperative outcomes.
  • Monitoring our stock of surgical supplies and medication and replenishing these, as needed.
  • Ensuring that instruments and equipment are effectively maintained.
  • Providing excellent patient care at all times.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of experience with surgery (oral surgery background) tooth removal, grafting, implants, intraoral scanners and operating cone beam CT's.
  • Prior lead surgery assistant/dental assistant experience highly preferred.
  • Digital Photography background preferred.

  • Open to continuous education.

  • Values/demonstrates effective communication through pre op and post op work and showcases interest/drive in continuous education.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Salary/Compensation

  • $33/hr - $37/hr (dependent on experience)

Schedule

  • 4 Days, Monday - Thursday between 7am - 3:30pm!
